David Choe known as Choe was born on April 21, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, and is most known for his paintings, murals, and graphic novels. Choe’s parents, Jane and Jimmy Choe came from Korea to the United States and settled in Koreatown, California, where he spent his boyhood.

David has been painting throughout his adolescence, having been influenced by art since an early age. He afterward continued his schooling at the California College of Arts.

He didn’t start his career as an artist until the 1990s, and he even self-published a graphic novel called “Slow Jams” in 1996.

As a successful contemporary artist, David participates in charitable works, donating numerous of his works to charity.
