Choi Hyun-wook Will Be Joining The Cast Of “D.P” Second Season

Choi Hyun-wook, a rising Korean actor, has been confirmed to appear in the upcoming second season of D.P.

Choi Hyun-agency wook’s GOLDMEDALIST revealed on January 10, 2023, that the actor would appear in the second season of military drama D.P. When asked about his role in the series, the source encouraged fans to watch the drama to learn more, saying:

“Please pay attention to his individual role in the drama.”

Season one of D.P., which stands for Deserter Pursuit, sheds light on the widespread bullying and prejudice in the South Korean military. The plot revolves around Jun-ho, a soldier who became a military defector while serving his country.

He is then tasked with tracking down the “deserters,” or troops who have fled while serving in the military. Choi Hyun-wook is rumored to be playing Shin Ah-hwi in the upcoming drama.

Choi Hyun-wook will appear alongside Jung Hae-in and Koo Kyo-hwan in the upcoming season 2 of Deserter Pursuit

Season one starred Jung Hae-in and Koo Kyo-hwan as Ahn Joon-ho and Han Ho-yul, respectively. The characters Joon-ho and Ho-yul were assigned the task of apprehending fugitive military personnel.

The escaping troops were dubbed “deserters” because they abandoned their assigned duties and fled. Joon-ho, who was constantly perplexed as to why the deserters were abandoning their responsibilities, later realized that bullying, harassment, and prejudice were to blame.

Choi Hyun-wook is rumored to be playing Shin Ah-hwi and will wrap up the episodes alongside Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyu, and Song Seok-gu. Meanwhile, the new faces for the second season are Ji Jin-hee and Kim Ji-hyun.

Shin Ah-hwi will most likely support Jung Hae-character in’s and contribute to the plot’s development. Fans are overjoyed to see the actor perform alongside Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, and others. However, few details about his personality have been revealed.

Seasons one and two of D.P. were directed by Han Jun-hee. Choi Hyun-wook previously worked on the current Wavve series, Weak Hero Class 1, with director Han Jun-hee. Han Jun-hee, the drama’s director, has contributed to its creation.

The first season of D.P. premiered in 2021 with six episodes, and viewers praised the realistic depiction of South Korean military operations. Kim Bo-tong created the webtoon D.P Dog Day, which inspired the drama.
