As a business consultant, executive coach, event planner, project manager, strategic planner, and user experience writer, Chris Burdette has a wealth of expertise. His tremendous knowledge and skills stem from his intense interests, boundless curiosity, and innate ability to solve problems.
He and his ex-wife co-founded Texas Dreams Gymnastics, which they operated from August 2001 to February 2022. Inspired by the 1986 gymnastics film “American Anthem,” the 48-year-old started gymnastics. Ever since that day, he has committed to train as a gymnast and launching a club that resembles the one in the movie.
At sixteen, he went for a tryout, driving thirty minutes to the nearest gymnastics club, despite the initial setback. In June 2019, Chris made the shift from managing a national gymnastics powerhouse for twenty years to focusing on teaching elite gymnasts from across the world.
His latest project is a full-time commitment to becoming a parent to three unusual, athletically gifted, and creative children. Once the family got involved in their activities in Austin and Los Angeles, their shared love evolved into rock climbing on the inside as well as the outside. After working for many years as the owner of a gymnastics club, a top coach, and a competition host, he is looking forward to his next exciting adventure as his kids get older and more self-sufficient.
