Chris Jansing is a broadcast journalist and television personality best known for his work as the senior national correspondent for MSNBC and NBC News. Chris began her career after graduation as an intern for a small television station in Columbus, Ohio, before traveling to Ticonderoga, New York, to join the crew of its WIPS radio station.
She subsequently moved to Albany, New York, where she worked as a general assignment reporter for NBC affiliate WNYT. With her popularity growing, she soon rose through the ranks to become the show’s weekly co-anchor as well as the weekend anchor. Chris received a New York Emmy Award in 1997 for her outstanding work and coverage of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jansing moved to NBC News in June 1998 after spending 17 years polishing her professional talents at the WNYT.
