Chris Tarrant, who presents on television, has been providing housing for a Ukrainian family for the past eight months and has stated that he intends to buy them a flat.
The former presenter of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” who is now 76 years old, stated that his family had “improved” his life at home.
The mother, daughter, and infant had been residing at his house in the rural village of Berkshire ever since they were forced to flee their home as a result of the Russian invasion.
Tarrant has indicated that he intends to get them a flat so that they can live in a location that is more convenient to the city center.
The former radio personality stated the following in an interview that was broadcast on the British morning show Good Morning Britain: “They have been on our side ever since the conflict first broke out.
“Before they came to us, they were couch surfing in Polish airports and sleeping on the floor there. The actual departure from Ukraine is nothing more than a nightmare.”
The broadcaster, who most recently hosted the travel program Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railways, stated that they would be closer to shops and pubs if they moved into a flat, despite the fact that he currently resides in a rural area.
The presenter, who was born in Reading, went on to say that they were “the nicest people,” and she continued: “These people have made a positive impact on my life. Even though I’ve raised my own children, I just can’t get over how adorable this child is.
“She had been there for seven months; if she had stayed, she would be on the front of a tank or something by now had she not left. The very thought of what took place and how they managed to evade capture is nothing short of incredible.”
