Chris Thieneman is the CEO of Thieneman Real Estate, LLC, a renowned residential and commercial building and development company in Louisville, and a former professional football player. Chris was an honorable mention All-American football player at the University of Louisville. He joined the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League after graduating and also played in the Canadian Football League.

Thieneman signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent as a defensive end in 1988, but he did not play in a single regular-season game and was released from the offseason practice squad. He played four years of professional football in Canada, with the Sacramento Gold Miners of the Canadian Football League.

Thieneman ran for the 37th district state senate seat in the spring of 2012, barely defeating former Metro Councilman Doug Hawkins in the Republican primary in May. Thieneman has never been elected to any public office, despite repeated efforts.
