It is believed that Chuck Schumer, who has been married to Iris Weinshall for more than 40 years, is “running” the New York Civil Fraud lawsuit against him with Allison Greenfield, his lover.
Despite the fact that Greenfield is in fact Judge Engoron’s top clerk, Trump asserted—via an image of a tweet featuring Schumer and Greenfield together—that something strange is happening in his lawsuit.
The idea that Schumer and Greenfield were dating first surfaced on social media in October 2021 when a Twitter user shared a photo of the two at a restaurant in Washington, D.C.
They were “very cozy,” the user said, and Greenfield had on a “huge diamond ring.”
After the message went viral, many on the internet started speculating that Schumer—who married Iris Weinshall in 1980—was having an affair.
Schumer’s office has refuted this assertion, however, and there is no proof to back it up.
The New York Post was informed by a Schumer representative that Greenfield was a member of a group of friends who went to dinner with Schumer in 2019.
The spokesman said that Greenfield is not engaged and that the ring is not a part of her marriage.
Greenfield, who was employed by Schumer from 2005 until 2009, was his legislative assistant.
She now works as a lobbyist for the legal firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, which has clients including Pfizer, Comcast, and Amazon.
Greenfield’s LinkedIn page indicates that she is an expert in energy, transportation, and healthcare issues.
Does Chuck Schumer Still Date Allison R. Greenfield?
After 41 years of marriage, Schumer and Weinshall had two children, Jessica and Alison.
Iris was a commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation before becoming the chief executive officer of The New York Public Library.
There is no reliable proof that Schumer has cheated on his wife, and he has never acknowledged having an affair. He has, in fact, often complimented Weinshall on her commitment and support.
In his 2007 book Positively American: Winning Back the Middle-Class Majority One Family at a Time, he remarked, “Iris has been my partner in everything I do.”
She assisted him in striking a balance between his personal and professional lives, he said. He penned:
“Iris has shown me the value of being a good husband and parent. She makes sure I don’t ignore our girls due to my hectic schedule and that I spend enough time with them.
In the past, Schumer has also been the target of several erroneous or questionable claims of sexual misconduct. He fell prey to a falsified paper in 2017 that claimed he had harassed a former employee.
Declaring that it was a “phony allegation,” he threatened to take the sender to court.
A satirical website falsely accused him in 2018 of having an affair with a high school cheerleader. The report was disproved by fact-checkers and Schumer’s office.
