The Lakers’ showtime could not be authorized without Claire’s authorization unless she agreed to the timings. She was the driving force behind the Lakers’ success in the 1980s.

Claire’s divorce was finalized in 1976 after she saw the threads of her marriage’s split, and she began working as an accountant for a Spectrum arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Within a year and a half of working for the company, she was promoted to the position of business manager. Claire’s work with her ex-husband gave her an advantage when she wanted to change her employment profile. On one hand, she was handling her residential bills, and on the other, she was dealing with the hundreds of data points for Spectrum’s power expenses. The amazing part was not that she was playing all of these roles, but that she had a big hand in her ex-business, and husband’s which helped her thrive later in life.
