Relationship between Clayton Echard and Susie Evans on The Bachelor
The Bachelor’s Clayton Echard and Susie Evans had a tough beginning on the reality show. Susie left the program after Clayton admitted to having romantic and sexual relationships with two other contestants, Gabby Windy and Rachel Recchia.
The women were stunned, but Susie, who adored Clayton, was crushed. The former footballer then sent Susie home on their dream suite date on The Bachelor on March 8, 2022, citing her unwillingness to “fight” for their love. Susie commented at the time:
“Knowing that I have a commitment in a week, there are certain matters on which I cannot compromise.” I don’t suppose I would feel at ease if I were to share your admiration with someone else.”
Clayton stated in his defense:
“I was experiencing feelings of love for [them], therefore I slept with this person to investigate our psychical connection.” If you were in love with someone, you would pursue them without hesitation.
Clayton, on the other hand, cherished Susie long after she had left the program. After The Bachelor concluded, he made an effort to restore their friendship.
Clayton “did not believe it was going to happen,” especially given the conclusion of their previous relationship. Susie disclosed in the special After the Final Rose:
Following the concert, we slept and regrouped. We are ecstatic, and we are ecstatic to be here today.”
Only days after confirming their relationship on the program, the ex-couple relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia. They posted images of their adoration on their own Instagram pages, allowing onlookers to see their affection.
After a few months, though, they decided to “pursue” their ambitions by pursuing a long-distance relationship. Amanda Hirsch, the host of the Not Thin but Nor Fat podcast for Dear Media, interviewed Clayton about their future together.
I use my computer for 10 to 12 hours per day. Then she added, Clayton, I’ll move to Los Angeles, and we’ll see each other on the weekends. And we shall see what transpires. We are unsure if we will enjoy the extended travel.”
Additionally:
We don’t know if this will be a month-long or a lifelong relationship, but there is no pressure. Let us simply love and rejoice in one another.”
Clayton and Susie have ended their relationship due to “external influences.” Ex-partners are now “focused on continuing to work on themselves.”
