Five persons were slain in a horrifying mass shooting at the Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky. Around 8:30 am on Monday, bank employee Connor Sturgeon started shooting.
The assault was live-streamed on Instagram, and it has attracted a lot of public interest.
The victims were between the ages of 40 and 64. A rookie police officer who had only joined the department two weeks earlier was one of the nine injured victims.
Despite having brain surgery, the police officer’s health remained critical. Police showed just three minutes later at the site. While battling with authorities, the assailant was killed by gunshot.

Connor Sturgeon had no romantic relationships. At least no one has publicly claimed to be his girlfriend.
The suspected gunman, though, reportedly excelled in sports in high school. Therefore, he may have dated someone while in high school or college.
Even if Sturgeon had a romantic partner, nothing about his relationship has been made public.
Connor Sturgeon: Who Was He?
Investigators discovered that Connor Sturgeon was employed by Old National Bank.
Prior to beginning a full-time position with the bank in June 2021, Sturgeon worked there as an intern for three years. In April 2022, he even received a promotion, according to ABC News.
Connor Sturgeon told his parents that he would attack the bank by leaving a note, according to law enforcement officials. It’s unclear, though, if his parents read the message before he started shooting at the bank.
Additionally, Connor broadcast the slaughter live on social media throughout the occurrence (Instagram). Officials claim that a firearm was used during the incident.

Officer Nickolas Wilt of the LMPD, who was shot in the head, is one of the three victims of the nine injuries that are still in severe condition.
Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel, the interim chief of the LMPD, said Wilt just left the police academy. His graduation was on March 31. She said he had recovered from the brain operation, but his health was still critical.
According to UofL Health, at least three of the wounded patients have been released.

A former classmate of Connor Sturgeon claimed that he came from a great household and was a wonderful child. There were no warning signs, according to the shooter’s acquaintance, who is currently in complete astonishment.
Todd Sturgeon, Connor Sturgeon’s father, was a basketball head coach in the past. The University of Indianapolis’ men’s basketball team was coached by Todd.
The squad made five appearances in the NCAA tournament under the former head coach. Later, at his son’s school, he started coaching and teaching history.
According to a report on the website of his alma mater De Pauw University, Todd Sturgeon left his post as coach at the University of Indianapolis in 2007 so that he could spend more time with his family.
