Next week, Mr. Moss was scheduled to sue his ex-bandmates in a disagreement over the group’s revenues.

The case will not proceed after singer Boy George, guitarist Roy Hay, and bassist Mikey Craig decided a verdict in favor of Mr. Moss should be rendered.

Pop songs such as Karma Chameleon and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me brought the group to prominence in the 1980s.

Mr. Moss filed suit in September 2018 after reportedly being “expelled” by the group’s manager.

A six-day High Court hearing in London was scheduled to evaluate the value of the Culture Club name, the band’s income since Moss’s alleged ejection, and the amount to which he might be entitled.

Boy George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, Mr. Craig, and Mr. Hay defended against Mr. Moss’s assertions previously.

A court decision published on Tuesday, however, stated that the band had agreed to conclude the case and must pay Mr. Moss $1.75 million immediately.

It further stated that the drummer had agreed to give up all rights to the Culture Club moniker and its use, including in concert and retail contexts.

Tour claim

Mr. Moss and Boy George were personal and musical partners in the early days of the band, but they gradually fell out of favor.

The band reassembled in 2014, but Mr. Moss claims he was sacked during the 2018 Life tour.

The High Court trial was also expected to address Mr. Moss’s further claim that he was owed an “outstanding amount” of $246,000 (£201,000) pursuant to the provisions of a band contract for the tour.

He asserted that Boy George “conspired to cheat” him over the tour money, and that cash was transferred to a U.S. firm that he claimed was under the singer’s control. Moreover, You Give Me Life and Other Places Drama were named as defendants in the lawsuit.
