A sportscaster from New England is named Dale Arnold. He co-hosted debate radio shows on WEEI and NESN until he announced his retirement from radio on March 12, 2021, which was the day before.
He has broadcast football for the Boston College Eagles and has called play-by-play for the Bruins on NESN.
Dale Arnold is the only person to have delivered play-by-play analysis for all five of the major professional sports organizations in the Boston area.
Arnold has been a member of WEEI radio ever since it first started broadcasting at 590 kHz in 1991. Later, he relocated to WEEI-FM with other locally produced shows and joined Sportsradio 850.

Dale Arnold of NESN has stepped down from his role as a studio host and play-by-play announcer for Bruins games after more than 20 years.
Arnold watched a video eulogy from the NESN set inside the Garden during the Bruins’ final home game of the regular season. He received a stick tap from the Bruins bench to the cheers of the crowd.
Arnold previously left WEEI in March 2021 after working there for 30 years, mostly as a presenter of noontime shows.
Arnold continues to work as an on-air host for the Bruins’ pre-game, post-game, and intermission coverage despite giving up radio.
Arnold has been a staple at NESN and served as the play-by-play commentator for Boston Bruins games from 1995 to 2007 before switching to hosting responsibilities.
