The couple began dating covertly after falling in love so rapidly. On November 19, 2005, Danica Patrick, 23, and Hospenthal, 40, tied the knot following more than two years of romance. They were married in Scottsdale, Arizona, at a privately planned ceremony.
The NASCAR driver filed for divorce in January 2013, characterizing her marriage to her ex-husband as “irretrievably broken,” just over seven years into their union. Patrick had openly revealed her split in a Facebook post in November 2012, before she went public. April 17, 2013, was the date of their divorce. There are no children shared by the former couple.
