A memorial service for Daniel has been scheduled for the coming year. His creations and his zeal for life are what his family wants to be remembered for.

Daniel Lightfoot’s Daughter Is His Only Relative
Australia’s Brisbane was the place of Daniel Lightfoot’s birth in 1965. His love for design began at his parents’ house, where he would often wake them up in the middle of the night to sew.
Paris Lightfoot, the couple’s daughter, was born to Daniel and Suzie in 1990.
Paris is mourning her father’s death very much. She stated, in an interview with 9News Queensland, “We want to celebrate everything he did and remember him as the fun, crazy, hilarious person he was.”
Despite their separation, Daniel and Suzie remained close and frequently participated in Brisbane’s social scene.
“[He was] a brilliant designer, talented, and his eye for detail and craftsmanship and his joy for fashion were contagious,” Suzie remarked.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Daniel founded Daniel Lightfoot Pty Ltd, served as its design director, and created distinctive corporate clothing products.
Daniel was given the responsibility of managing every facet of the studio’s operations and long-term strategy as its head.
In Queensland, Daniel Lightfoot’s name was closely associated with style. He had a lifelong interest in fashion when he was just six years old.
He discovered his love for design while observing his aunt at work as a seamstress for a renowned Brisbane designer.
Daniel completed his fashion design coursework at Mt. Gravatt TAFE and Seven Hills College of TAFE.
He started his label in 1985, the same year he also took home the first of his 21 Retailers’ Association of Queensland (RAQ) awards. Daniel was admitted into the RAQ Hall of Fame when he was 27 years old, or in 1992.
Also in 1997, he received notoriety on a global scale when he beat off 85 other fashion designers to win the title of best Day Wear designer in the world at the Miss World pageant.
At first, Daniel only produced upscale women’s clothing, but he eventually expanded his business to include men’s clothing as well as corporate uniforms.
The department retailer David Jones began selling his creations. He grew in stature, expanded his market, and began styling all the famous people. Additionally, he styled famous people for weddings, award shows, and other occasions.
Daniel was devoted to seeing that Queensland’s fashion sector expanded. He joined the Australian Fashion Design Awards Committee (formerly the RAQ Awards) and the QUT Advisory Board.
