There is no evidence that Palm Beach Central High School principal Darren Edgecomb has ever been apprehended or charged. Thus, there is no photograph of the school’s principal.
In 2022, however, the state Education Department disciplined the principal for altering the grades of several students without their instructors’ knowledge.
In 2019, they allegedly improved the grades of at least 11 students. An investigation by the school district’s inspector general revealed their actions.
According to the report, the state permits grade changes following the distribution of report cards in limited circumstances.
The principal may alter a student’s grade without the teacher’s input with the approval of the regional superintendent, or a teacher may request the grade change and provide justification.
However, investigations revealed that neither instructors nor district leaders were included in Edgecomb’s administration.
The principal and assistant principal consented to probation with the State Education Department in October 2022, years after the scandal.
Greenberg is alleged to have stated in their report that he “changed the student’s grades because there were additional factors where the teachers targeted the students.”

Edgecomb and Greenberg reached a settlement with the Florida Department of Education in 2022, which included repercussions that harmed Greenberg in particular.

Dorsey stated she received notice of her demotion from Edgecomb while she was in the hospital preparing to give birth to twins.
According to the Justice Department, Edgecomb’s actions constituted sexual discrimination in violation of federal civil rights laws.
Representatives of the federal government demanded in their complaint that the county’s public education system “implement appropriate and effective measures to prevent such action.”
