She and Rachel Shoaf, one of her closest friends from high school, killed Skylar Neese, 16, in the event.

On September 4, 2013, West Virginia authorities formally identified Shelia as the second accused offender, drawing attention to the case.

On September 6, 2013, a grand jury indicted her on one crime of abduction, one count of first-degree murder, and one count of plotting to kill.

She pled guilty to first-degree murder in accordance with the evidence as part of a deal with the prosecution, admitting her role in Skylar’s tragic death.

Furthermore, Shelia is incarcerated in the Lakin Correctional Facility in Mason County, West Virginia, to complete her sentence.

She is housed there together with her co-defendant in the case, Rachel Shoaf.

Shelia, the killer who was found guilty, is related to Greg Eddy and Tara Clendenen.

She was raised as an only child and was born on September 28, 1995, in Blacksville, West Virginia.

Similarly, Shelia Eddy’s parents divorced around 2000.

In the wake of their divorce, Tara and Jim Clendenen moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, in October 2010.

She started going to University High School at this time.

But tragedy struck in July 2012 when she and her pals decided to kill Nesse.

Her mother Tara filed a motion in Monongalia County Circuit Court after the horrible act, asserting her innocence and denial of any involvement in the killing.

The victim’s mother, Mary Neese, filed a lawsuit in 2014 against Tara, Rachel Shoaf, Shelia, Tara’s mother, Patricia Shoaf, and others.

Tara defended herself by claiming that she was not at fault since Shelia was staying at the Shoaf house the night of the murder and she was not in charge of her.

Clendenen further noted that Mary Neese had made it known through social media that she did not hold Eddy’s parents accountable for the decisions made by their daughter.

Her personal life is unclear, but the murder case has received a lot of media interest.

During their high school years, Skylar Neese and Eddy and Rachel Shoaf were good friends, and Skylar was the victim of a horrific crime carried out by her alleged pals.

In January 2013, Neese’s dead corpse was found in Wayne Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania.

Shoaf admitted to her role in Neese’s murder to the police in December of the same year.

She detailed a terrifying scheme that she and Shelia had created.

According to court documents, Shoaf described how she and her companion tricked Neese into getting into Eddy’s vehicle so they could go out with friends in Pennsylvania.

Shoaf and Eddy fatally stabbed Skylar at a prearranged time.

They then made an unsuccessful effort to bury her corpse, hiding it under some trees in a nearby ditch.

When Shoaf confessed to the police seven months later, they were able to return to the murder site and find Neese’s remains there.
