Dean Cain Has Been Cast As The Host Of “Masters of Illusion”

Dean Cain, an actor, producer, and television personality, will host the season premiere of The CW’s Masters of Illusion on February 11, 2023.

The series will feature top illusionists and magicians performing magic tricks in front of a live studio audience. The acts are performed for the audience in a jam-packed show full of reality-bending, mind-blowing magic.

The former professional footballer, 56, has also hosted television shows such as Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Bloopers, and Masters of Illusion. Dean Cain has appeared in films and television episodes including Rat Race and Out of Time, and he even played Clark Kent aka Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

Cain, who has an estimated net worth of $8 million, also appeared in the sports drama series Hit the Floor. Dean Cain, born in 1966 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Roger Tanaka and actress Sharon Thomas Cain, has made a name for himself in the American entertainment industry.

When Dean was three years old, his mother married filmmaker Christopher Cain. Dean Cain went on to play football at Princeton University, where he set a school record with 12 interceptions in 1987. Cain earned a BA in history in 1988. Cain’s professional football career was cut short by a knee injury shortly after joining the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.

Dean, a Republican, backed John McCain in 2008, Rick Perry in 2012, and Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020. Cain has come under fire for his endorsements, particularly the latter. On Twitter, he made some remarks that shocked users. He even admitted to assaulting a 17-year-old protester physically.

Cain has also appeared on Fox News and other right-wing media outlets. Dean Cain paid $725,000 for a 35-acre parcel of land in Basalt, Colorado, at the height of his success in 1997. He later built a few structures on the property, including a 4,400-square-foot luxury villa.

Dean attempted to sell this mansion in 2011 for $9.5 million. In 2015, he removed the listing and relisted it for $5.5 million. In December 2015, he finally accepted the $3.6 million. Dean was most recently seen in the film Paul’s Promise, which received a Plugged In Movie Awards nomination for Best Christian Movie. The majority of the actor’s earnings have come from his work in the entertainment industry.
