After conducting an investigation, officials detained Robert Moore and accused him of aggravated manslaughter in connection with Zook’s aging death.

Robert Edward Moore is charged with aggravated manslaughter of an older person in relation to the demise of Dean William Zook, an 87-year-old victim.
The altercation happened in the parking area of Glenview Country Club, where Moore thought Zook’s automobile was his own.
This sparked a heated argument that ended with Zook being beaten. Zook eventually passed away as a result of the attack’s lethal injuries.
The report claims that Moore realized very soon that the car Zook had struck was not his, and he then fled the scene.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Zook unfortunately died on July 16 in the hospital. He had suffered from bleeding in the brain as a consequence of the assault.

After the event, they were able to verify his identification by tracking down the credit card that was used to buy takeaway meals from the country club.
Surveillance tape showed Moore’s movements, including his trip back to the club to purchase food after the altercation.
Moore allegedly told authorities he thought Zook was trying to flee the site of the collision. Furthermore, he said that he didn’t know the victim’s age.
The affidavit said, “The defendant acknowledged that the victim seemed older and frail, but he didn’t realize he was 87.”
Moore was taken into custody and charged with manslaughter after these investigations, and he was lodged in the Sumter County Detention Center.
He was brought into custody and sent to the Sumter County Detention Center after his arrest. He was being jailed on a $30,000 bond.
