After a protracted illness, Senior Counsel Zafaryab Jilani passed dead in a nearby hospital on May 17, 2023. The revelation was confirmed to PTI by Najam Zafaryab, the secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board. Najam claims that his father died around 11:50 a.m. after a protracted illness. The distraught son further revealed that the illustrious attorney’s funeral services would be held on Wednesday night at Lucknow’s Aishbagh cemetery.
For the past thirty years, Zafaryab Jilani Jilani has been a hot topic of conversation. He didn’t engage in any political activity. Most people know Zafaryab Jilani for his tenacious support of the Muslim side in the Ayodhya conflict. The deceased lawyer was named chairman of the Babri Masjid Action Committee as a result of the Supreme Court’s ruling.
Rasheed, Khalid Several well-known people have expressed their sorrow over Jilani’s loss, including Farangi Mahali. A top cleric claims that Zafaryab Jilani was the convener of the Babri Masjid Action Committee and that she litigated the Babri Masjid dispute before various tribunals. In addition, Zafaryab served as many educational institutions’ secretary. “I pray to Allah that He forgives him and gives courage and strength to the people he has left behind,” Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali continued.
He stayed a key player in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case. Senior Advocate Jilani presented arguments in the Ram Janmabhoomi case before the Supreme Court as the coordinator of the Babri Masjid Action Committee. He had previously been Uttar Pradesh’s additional attorney general.
Did a brain hemorrhage cause Zafaryab Jilani’s death?
Son of Zafaryab Jilani, Najam Zafaryab, reported that his father passed away following a protracted illness. In May 2021, Zafaryab Jilani, secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, experienced a cerebral hemorrhage and was hospitalized in Lucknow’s Medanta Hospital. The senior attorney’s family revealed that after slipping and falling, he was rushed to the hospital. He spent some of his time in the hospital.
He continued,
“His therapy has started, and physicians believe his condition is stable for the time being. Although they have said he might need surgery, the lawyer’s nephew told the Indian Express that his uncle is now stable.
Although a brain hemorrhage was not the lawyer’s cause of death, his health appeared to have declined following one in 2021. Zafaryab Jilani’s wife, two kids, and one daughter will miss him dearly. The loss of a beloved family member must have a devastating effect on the attorney’s family. Let’s hope that Jilani’s grieving friends, family, and associates will have the fortitude to get through this tough period.
