Amazingly, Four People Survive Fall Off The Devil’s Slide
The Tesla ran off the road by more than 250 feet and hit a rocky protrusion.
A few times it flipped before coming to rest against the cliff on its wheels and a few feet from the river’s surf.
In order to lower the firefighters down the Devil’s Slide, the rescue team rigged up a rope system from the highway.
Everyone was startled when other firefighters who were observing the car collision through binoculars noticed movement inside the vehicle.
The car’s doors were wedged shut after being damaged by the cliff. Firefighters had no choice but to use “jaws of life” gear to cut open the door in order to free the victims.
Fortunately, the rescue operation was successful; both children were recovered without incident, and the two adults only suffered minor injuries.
