The new movie’s story was produced by a collection of well-known authors, including J. Richard LaGravenese, David N. Weiss, and David Stem. Brigitte Hales wrote the screenplay for Disenchanted, while renowned musical theater performer Adam Shankman oversaw the direction of the picture.

The two are shown in the movie driving their teenage daughter Morgan to the suburb of Monroeville from Manhattan. Giselle’s growing displeasure with their life in the city led them to move to the quiet suburb.
The official synopsis for the movie, released by Disney Plus along with the official trailer, is as follows:
Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) have been married for almost ten years, but Giselle has grown weary of the city and the couple decides to move their growing family to the quiet suburban village of Monroeville in search of a more idyllic lifestyle.
But it’s hardly the quick fix she was hoping for. Giselle feels even more out of place in suburban areas because of the rules that apply there and the presence of Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph), the local queen bee.
The story claims that she is unhappy since it was challenging to get her happily ever after. She “relies on the enchantment of Andalasia for support” as a result, but unknowingly endangers the happiness of her family by turning their entire hamlet into a “real-life fairy tale.” As it goes on:
Now that the magic has been broken, Giselle is battling time to learn what she and her family genuinely mean by happily ever after.
Giselle and her family will undoubtedly struggle with the transition as they get used to their new suburban environment and magic.
