The American actress is well recognized for her parts in Boys Don’t Cry, Million Dollar Baby, Beverly Hills, 90210, and The Next Karate Kid.
Hilary received praise from critics and several awards for the later two, including two Oscars for Best Actress.

On August 18, 2018, Hilary Swank married businessman Philip Schneider. Soon later, the two began dating after being introduced by shared acquaintances.
The actress and her husband made the announcement that they are expecting twins on October 5, 2022. The due date is April 16, 2023, which also happens to be her late father Stephen’s birthday.
In a television interview with Extra in October, Hilary referred to her father as one of her “most favorite people in the world.”
“It’s just this tribute of life,” she said, “that (the twins) were born on his birthday.”
Her dad would have been thrilled for her, according to Hilary. She stated, “He basically wanted me to have whatever I desired in life.
On December 16, the two-time Oscar winner posted a sweet picture of herself decorating a Christmas tree on Instagram while displaying her expanding baby bulge.
She also showed off her bump when attending the Golden Globes 2023, which were held on January 10 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The actress, who has sometimes put on weight for her roles, has recently added some weight in preparation for her twins.

Stephen Michael Swank and Judy Kay (née Clough), her parents, welcomed Hilary Ann Swank into the world in Lincoln, Nebraska, in the United States.
Her mother Judy was a clerk and dancer, while her father Stephen served as a Chief Master Sergeant in the Oregon Air National Guard before transitioning into a traveling sales career.
The majority of Hilary’s relatives come from Iowa’s Ringgold County. The surname “Swank,” which was formerly spelled “Schwenk,” is German.
From her paternal grandmother, who was born in England, Hilary has ancestors from the Netherlands, Germany, Ulster-Scots, Scotland, Switzerland, and Wales.
She also has Mexican ancestry via her maternal grandmother Frances Martha Clough (née Dominguez), who was born in El Centro, California. Frances Martha Clough is of Spanish and Native American origin.
In an interview with Health in 2020, Hilary said that from 2014 to 2017 she took a hiatus from performing to assist her father in recovering from a lung transplant. Later, in October 2021, he passed away at the age of 73.
She correctly cites her mother as the source of her inspiration in both her acting and in life.
When Hilary’s parents divorced when she was 15, her mother moved to Los Angeles to support Hilary’s acting career. Up until Judy had enough money saved to rent an apartment, they lived in their vehicle.
