The Donna Monticone scandal is still circulating online, and it has gained new interest after the debut of The Retrievals podcast.

Investigations also revealed that from June to October, over 75% of the fentanyl given to patients at the Yale REI clinic was tainted with saline.

As previously stated, Donna Monticone became embroiled in a scandal in 2020 when she switched out the painkiller fentanyl prescribed to patients for saline. She is accused of tampering with 175 fentanyl vials.
Donna was also aware that a patient could sustain substantial physical harm if an anesthetic was not administered during an outpatient procedure.
About 175 fentanyl vials that Donna had taken from the Yale REI clinic and stashed in the clinic’s trash cans were brought by the nurse in November 2020.
Following the filing of a lawsuit, Donna entered a plea of guilty to one count of tampering with a consumer product in March 2021. She may have received a maximum ten-year prison term after that.
Monticone said at her sentence hearing that she started abusing the drug amid a traumatic divorce and custody dispute involving her three children. To your knowledge, a group of medications known as opioids is used to treat pain.
