2010 saw Suzanne launch her own media company, Monson Media, where she edited and created unique internet material for legal and real estate businesses.

Additionally, Suzanne has nearly ten years of experience as a College & Career Center specialist for the Shoreline School District.

She claimed that hearing Dori’s show allowed her to keep up with his day. She described her spouse as being competitive and hating it when other shows garner higher ratings than his own.

Together with his wife, Dori Monson was the father of three girls. The five members of the family, together with their pet dog, lived in Lake Forest Park, Washington.

Monson was born to parents with Icelandic ancestry in Seattle, Washington. He was reared in Seattle’s Scandinavian neighborhood of Ballard. He went to Ballard High School to study.

While they were both students at the University of Washington, Monson met his future wife. For the Husky football on-campus broadcaster KCMU (now KEXP-FM), Dori worked as a play-by-play announcer.

In 1984, Suzanne completed her studies at the University of Washington and received her B.A. in journalism and communications.

Before being married in June 1987, the pair dated for a while. They have three grown daughters that live with them.

Dori Monson Died at the Age of 61

On December 31, 2022, Dori Monson, 61, who was best known for hosting the afternoon talk program The Dori Monson program in Seattle, Washington, passed away.

According to Kiro News Radio, he died in a hospital in Seattle as a result of a heart attack.

Even though he had health concerns for a while, he continued to love deep sea fishing and pickleball.

Since 1995, Monson has hosted the KIRO-FM program in Dave Ross’ place, who moved to the 9 am to noon morning time period.

The Dori Monson Show, often known as The Big Show, was a discussion radio show with a strong political focus. It occasionally had the highest talk show ratings in the Seattle-Tacoma market.
