In a recent interview that was shown on Diverse Mentality’s Instagram, the rapper discussed his experience and said he didn’t realize how serious it was until after the incident.

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke indicates that between the ages of 30 and 60, women have a higher risk of developing a brain aneurysm than males, despite the fact that anyone can get one.

According to a June 2021 interview with the Los Angeles Times, untreated hypertension was stated to have raised risk for some people with underlying medical issues, which Dr. Dre believes may have been the cause of his aneurysm.

On January 5, 2021, it came to light that Dr. Dre was ill and suffering from a brain aneurysm. The day prior, he had been brought to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

To determine what caused the brain bleeding, he was being evaluated in the ICU. The day after being admitted to the hospital, Dre posted on Instagram to reassure his followers that everything was great.

The music producer talked about his experience at the Los Angeles hospital Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Dr. Dre reportedly got emergency transfer to the intensive care unit in January 2021.

Health Update on Dr. Dre: How Is He Now?

Dr. Dre appeared to handle the shock extremely well. It wasn’t until June 2021 that he opened up about his condition, telling the Los Angeles Times that he was “feeling wonderful” just five months after being brought to the hospital.

He used the opportunity to encourage others to keep an eye on their health and see a doctor periodically. While in the hospital, Dre acknowledged feeling odd due to his increased blood pressure.

He said he had always put his health first. He had no notion that there would be a link between Black men and high blood pressure, though. He did, however, say that he is taking care of himself.

Shortly after being checked into the hospital, Dre updated his fans on his health through Instagram and said he was doing great.

In the beginning of last year, Dr. Dre suffered a brain aneurysm that put him in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Los Angeles. He has talked about this event in the past.

In a recent interview for the Workout The Doubt podcast, he described how doctors asked his family to stay with him during that time out of concern that he may pass away as a result of the incident.

He revealed that the physicians were prohibiting any friends or family members from coming up because of Covid.

But they did let his family in, and he later found out that they had called them to set up a time for them to say their last goodbyes because they thought he would die.
