The new Vietnamese girl group DREAMeR has been accused of stealing BLACKPINK’s concept for BORN PINK. On September 14, 2022, a Twitter user observed links between DREAMeR’s member introductions and return dates with the PINK VENOM vocalists’ album concepts. After the post went popular on social media, followers requested YG Entertainment sue them for plagiarism.
The design of DREAMeR’s teaser for the two new members closely resembles the present concept of the K-pop group.
MiiNa and Bo Uyên, the third and fourth members of the debut group, were revealed on April 12 and September 14, 2022, respectively. In addition, their return itinerary poster resembles BLACKPINK’s tour announcement teaser.

A new Vietnamese girl group is formed, but they have already garnered negative attention. DREAMeR members Ph Phng Anh, RIN9, and MiiNa were implicated in a plagiarism incident before their debut.
BLINK fans have criticized the group’s agency, Dreamer Entertainment, for copying BLACKPINK’s return images. The eerie makeup, design, color, stance, location, and text make it difficult for the idea to be anything other than a simple copy-and-paste job.
Three photos were deemed controversial. The 12th of April saw the publication of MiiNa’s inaugural post. The concept pictures for On the Ground by Rose were comparable to the singers.
The purple attire, close-ups, flowers, lighting, and poses were all reminiscent of the K-pop star’s photographs. The second image, believed to be a reproduction of their return itinerary, was released on September 13.
BORN PINK’s global tour announcement poster was shockingly similar, with two pink lightning bolts at the top and pink text on a black snakeskin background.
The K-pop girl group’s poster included pink fangs at the top and bottom, as well as pink text on a black-to-pink gradient background. The book was released on August 8.
The most recent shot that was an exact duplicate was Bo Uyên’s profile picture, which was posted on September 14.
The image mirrored Lisa’s concept teaser for PINK VENOM. The shattered glass, pastel pink dress, hairstyle, long nails, and stance were all evocative of BLACKPINK’s teaser.
After seeing Bo Uyên’s concept teaser, Internet users went further and uncovered additional images that appeared to be copied directly from the designs of the PINK VENOM vocalists. The plagiarism scandal divided supporters.
The photographs bore an eerie resemblance to one of the most successful K-pop girl group concepts, thus half of the fans believed it was a marketing tactic to reach a wider audience. They also suggested blocking or ignoring the issue.
Another segment of the fandom flooded the Vietnamese group’s Instagram postings with vomiting emojis. In addition, they named YG Entertainment and BLACKPINK and demanded legal action against the respective agencies. In the meantime, BLACKPINK will release BORN PINK on September 16, 2022.
