Who is Duke Deuce?
It is unusual to see someone follow in the footsteps of his forefathers and show genuine promise to make it big. Nonetheless, Duke Deuce was one of those rare names that sparked more interest than the one before him.
The newest signee of Quality Control Music arrived well-prepared to dominate hip hop by resurrecting Crunk in its nascent form.
Wiki, Age, and Real Name of Duke Deuce
As of February 2020, a 27-year-old rapper was born to Memphis, Tennessee’s local star music producer Duke Nitty. Duke’s real name is Patavious Isom, and he got his stage name from his father. Duke Nitty had production credits on Nasty Nardo’s, Gangsta Blac’s, Dem Thugs’, and Mobb Lyfe’s songs.
The Crunk Ain’t Dead rapper spent the majority of his childhood in the recording studio with his father. It was difficult for the rapper to keep track of the nights he awoke and fell asleep to his father producing songs. Duke went to Fairley High School and graduated from there.
Hometown of Duke Deuce, Gangsta Disciples, and Quality Control
Duke Deuce grew up in the Memphis neighborhood of Whitehaven. He grew up listening to music by Three 6 Mafia, MJG, and 8Ball, which influenced his style. His father, Duke Nitty, used to put him in front of the keyboard and microphone where he practiced music as a child.
He was producing beats by the age of six. Duke released Whole Lotta in 2018, a viral hit song with M-Town aesthetics. Following the release, he added a Style Dance to go with the song. When people began to follow the trend and dance to the song, waves were created. When the dance was performed by Atlanta-based dance crew SheLovesMeechie, Duke’s viral success reached new heights.
Offset, one-third of the Atlanta-based hip hop trio Migos was drawn to SheLovesMeechie’s dance. One thing led to another, and long story short, he was signed to Quality Control Music, the same record label as Migos.
Duke Deuce: Professional Life, Career
Following the signing of his record deal with Quality Control Music, Duke Deuce released his debut project, Memphis Massacre, on September 7, 2018, in collaboration with Project Pat. Offset and Project Pat were among the artists featured on the fifteen-track album.
Duke’s highly anticipated second mixtape, Memphis Massacre 2, was released in February 2020. Several artists, including Lil Jon, Lil Yachty, Project Pat, Juicy J, and Lil Thad, appeared on the twelve-track project.
Unlike his first mixtape, this one was only about 40 minutes long and featured a diverse sound and a variety of styles. Duke’s first two mixtapes sparked a lot of excitement for his debut album as a signed artist, which has yet to be released.
Despite being signed to the same label as successful artists such as Migos, Cardi B, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, Marlo, and others, fans have yet to witness his rise to the heights he aspired to as a native of Memphis, Tennessee.
