Dylan Lane became known in the entertainment industry when he hosted Game Show Network’s Chain Reaction from 2006 to 2007. He was also well-known for holding the National Vocabulary Championship.

Dylan Lane was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

On July 18, 1977, Dylan Lane was born. Although he was born in Tyrone, he spent most of his childhood in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He is Clyde and Donna Lane’s son. He also has an older sister, Emily (Lane) Elder, and extended family in Huntingdon.

Lane’s sister and her husband, Paul, also work at Huntingdon Area High School.

In 1995, the game show host graduated from Huntingdon Area High School in Huntingdon. He was interested in athletics in high school, but his parents persuaded him to apply for a part in the school musical.

Lane also attended Muhlenberg College, where he majored in Philosophy and studied Theatre, according to his Game Show Network biography. He also spent some time in Astoria, New York. Dylan is currently a resident of Fort Johnson, New York, according to News 10.

His father is a general contractor who has completed numerous home renovations.

Dylan Lane began his career as a VJ.

Lane began his television career as a VJ and host on the music-focused channel Fuse TV, where he hosted The F-List and co-hosted Daily Download.

Lane was hired as a VJ on Fuse when a Fuse staff member noticed him interacting to individuals on site. And, according to Dylan, this is how he got into hosting. However, he initially considered acting to be his primary goal.

Lane also appeared in the debut episode of VH1’s Tool Academy (season 2). In this edition, he hosted the Party King competition before the main tournament began.

His Participation in GSN’s Chain Reaction

Dylan Lane rose to prominence in the mid-2000s after taking over as presenter of Chain Reaction in 2006. Lane would leave the program a year later to further his schooling and live a normal life.

Dylan featured as Justin Carter on The N series What Goes On while hosting the game program Chain Reaction. He was also the host of the National Vocabulary Championship, another GSN production.

Dylan Lane left Chain Reaction to pursue a career as an engineer.

Dylan attended college after leaving the host job to seek a career as a renewable energy engineer.

Since then, the host, who is sometimes misidentified as having cancer due to his baldness, has worked in marketing before deciding to work in the wind turbine sector.

Lane attended a technical school to learn about wind turbine maintenance. He relocated to Kansas to work on wind turbines before accepting a job offer from GE as a fleet performance engineer.

Since November 2018, the Huntingdon High School alumnus has been working as an engineer for General Electricity in Schenectady, NY, aiding renewable energy projects throughout North and South America.

He is still employed by the same company.

Dylan has rejoined Chain Reaction.

Lane would return as the host of the famous GSN show Chain Reaction fifteen years later, in February 2021.

He was given a leave of absence from his job in order to travel to California and finish another season of Chain Reaction in 2021.

When asked if he had returned after a long absence, the engineer/TV personality replied,

“If there’s another season or two, that’d be fantastic; I’d love to host, but he said he’d prefer to remain an engineer.”

The network approved a new version of Chain Reaction in February 2021. The word association format first aired in the 1980s. The second reboot occurred in 2006-07, followed by the third in 2015-16.

Dylan Lane had no idea Chain Reaction was after him.

He admitted he had no idea he had received a call from the Game Show Network asking him to reprise his niche job as game show host.

“I have a couple of very good high school classmates, and to be honest, I initially thought someone was playing a prank on me.”

He described his initial reactions upon receiving the phone call.

The Pennsylvania native noted that while it was wonderful that someone thought of him, he was also doubtful as to why the studio wanted to recruit an old guy with less hair.

Dylan was also interested in home renovations.

Lane previously stated that while he is not working, he enjoys home renovations. He also performs electrical wiring and plumbing. In fact, he converted an ancient farmhouse from a two-bedroom with a kitchen and one bathroom to a three-bedroom with two bathrooms and three bedrooms.

He, on the other hand, did it for his own family. Dylan considered flipping houses on HGTV and checked with his wife, but she declined.

Dylan Lane is, in fact, married. Dylan noted in his announcement of his return to Chain Reaction that his wife given him permission to return to his prior employment.

He also stated that he and his wife were in the potty-training stage of motherhood at the time. Lane and his wife, Nicole DelVecchio Lane, reportedly have two small girls and live in upstate New York.

Lane and his wife Nicole both had pals who were getting married in New Orleans.

While his future wife was on the guest list, he was not. Lane says that the former theater student went to the ceremony nonetheless and kind of crashed the nuptials.

He reportedly knew the groom, but he didn’t make the list because they had reached their limit. Lane met his wife on the dance floor; he was swinging about and his future wife approached him first.

She made a remark about him, and they soon began talking. They were in a long-distance relationship for a few months at first. However, the father of two has not revealed the identity or even the name of his wife.

When did they tie the knot?

Lane and his wife Nicole married on September 27, 2014. The couple married in an outdoor ceremony in Wichita, Kansas, USA. Friends and family members joined them on their special day.

Dylan Lane’s wife posted a handful of wedding images of the couple on Facebook on their one-year anniversary and commented,

“Wow, this year flew by!” There has been so much change in our life, and each day is a blessing. Here’s to the first year, and many more to come.

By 2023, the couple will have celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary.

Nicole Lane, Dylan Lane’s wife, is a former account executive.

Nicole DelVecchio Lane, his wife, began her career at SheKnows LLC. She eventually got a position as an Account executive at SheKnows, a media company.

She was also in charge of digital marketing at Press-Republican. Nicole, a Bethlehem, Pennsylvania native, also attended Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School before enrolling at Pennsylvania State University.
