Ed Ames, a well-known American-Ukrainian singer, passed away on May 21, 2023, at his home in Los Angeles, California.

According to several trustee sources, 95-year-old Ed Ames lost his fight with Alzheimer’s after a lengthy illness. The condition is a typical kind of dementia, according to medical professionals.

Mild memory loss and a loss of the capacity to react to the surroundings and carry on conversations are the first symptoms of progressive disorders. One area of the brain is affected by the illness.

Ed Ames was an engaged participant in the American entertainment industry. The Washington Post is one of several publications that claim Ames had Alzheimer’s disease.

His mother and father were immigrants from Ukraine, and as such, he was born to Jewish parents. Of his eight siblings (four brothers and four sisters), the singer was the youngest.

The singer’s family was reportedly not wealthy. Along with his brother Joe, his family got him accepted to Boston Public Latin School. In 1947, he and his brothers started the singing ensemble “The Ames Brothers” in Boston.

In his lifetime, musician Ed Ames married twice. On July 17, 1947, he was married to Sara Cacheiro, his first wife.

Sara and the late pop star had a happy marriage for 26 years. They had children and became parents throughout their marriage, which lasted for 2.5 decades.

His marriage to Sara, however, couldn’t continue forever, and on October 5, 1973, they officially divorced.

The gifted vocalist stayed unmarried for 24 years after his divorce. Ames eventually met Jeanne Arnold Saviano, his second wife. In 1998, he was married to Jeanne Arnold Sarviano.

They stayed together till death forced them apart. He was married to Jeanne for 25 years. Ames’ second wife, however, did not have any offspring.

Ames was a devoted father to his three children, Stephen, Sonya, and Ronald.

According to reports, Ames also had a daughter named Marcella Ames, who died before him.

His children are all adults raising families. A grandfather was also born to the Daniel Boone actor. He has five great-grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
