A month later, he completed a four-hour defensive driving course. He performed ten hours of community service there. He also paid $197 in court expenses. Similarly, he helped at Carver (Ga.) High in Columbus from May 22 to May 26. Carver coach Michal Osoh signed a statement on the floor.

Pritchett was believed to have worked with players during practice, reminding them of the importance of discipline, among other things. Authorities dismissed him from the case after he made the statement. On September 5, the institution denied his application. There was no public repercussions for Pritchett after that.
