The 26-year-old lady who was fatally shot on December 24, 2022, at a Wirral bar has been named.
While spending Christmas Eve with her friends and family at the Lighthouse Pub in Wallasey Village, Merseyside, Elle Edwards was tragically shot and killed.
Ms. Edwards has received heartfelt condolences, who have called her a “beautiful angel” with a “pure heart.”
On December 24, at about 11:50 p.m., a shooter began fire in front of the well-known bar.
Four others were hurt in addition to Ms. Edwards, who was shot in the head and died. She was taken by ambulance to Arrowe Park Hospital, but she did not survive.
Ms. Edwards was reportedly not the intended victim of the assault.
A 28-year-old Beechwood resident was reported to be in serious condition and fighting for his life in the hospital following the same shooting event.
Three further individuals, 22, 24, and 33 years old, also sustained injuries. Fortunately, none of them were believed to be fatal.
On December 25, an urgent call for information on the tragic occurrences was made during a Police press conference.
Suspect in the Wallasey Pub Shooting
Police are looking for the shooter who shot a lady dead and injured four other people at a Wallasey bar.
On Christmas Eve, there was a disturbance at the Lighthouse Pub in Wallasey Village.
Some people who were there that night made an effort to assist and perform CPR on the victims.
Detective Superintendent Sue Coombs said of the horrifying occurrence, “No family should have to go through this ordeal at any time other than Christmas.”
She also mentioned how their family liaison officers, who had received specialized training, had helped the family during this dreadful period and had reassured them that the police were determined to apprehend those responsible.
The probe, according to Coombs, is still in its early stages.
She said they were attempting to identify a suspect, a reason for the shooting, and other relevant details.
She explained what was known to the police about the incident, stating, “We believe the gunman fired shots at the front entrance to the pub.”
She claimed that shortly after the gunshot, a dark-colored automobile, probably a Mercedes A-Class, was spotted driving away from the location.
Coombs declared, “We are especially eager to speak with the driver of that car.”
People were urged not to relax until the shooters’ whereabouts were discovered by Detective Superintendent.
She also urged anyone with information or noteworthy video on their cellphone, doorbell camera, or dashcam to call the police.
Elle Edwards Was A Beauty Salon Employee
Friends and coworkers recall Elle Edwards, 26, who had worked at a beauty parlor in Wirral, and paid tribute to her.
In a Facebook tribute, a friend named Britt Hughes wrote: “Christmas will never be the same again… My lovely best friend, you will be sorely missed.
Tyreece Hon, a different close friend, wrote: “Last night, this angel got her wings and flew to the stars. I’ve always thought of you as my big sister, therefore I can’t believe you were stolen from us so suddenly.
Her company, the Moreton, Wirral-based Nova Beauty studio, delivered a heartfelt homage.
The company praised Elle for the smiles and chuckles she brought in a post on its Instagram page, saying that it was at a loss for words.
“Heaven gained the most beautiful angel; we are all heartbroken, thinking of all of your family right now, Elle,” the message said.
Abi Coogan, a beautician, expressed her sadness and said it hurts to think about what her family is going through.
