Elliot Oliver Robertson Rodger, also known as Elliot Rodger, was a former college student and well-known American spree killer. Similarly, he was the only one responsible for the 2014 killings in Isla Vista. On May 23, 2014, in Isla Vista, California, Elliot passed away.
The 22-year-old college student went on a murdering spree on Friday night, ramming, shooting, and stabbing fourteen individuals in addition to killing six of them. Several others called him a misogynistic killer. He became notorious after the unsettling tale, and many people eventually looked into Elliot Rodger’s background, including his race and religion.

Elliot Rodger was an English-American college student, according to reports. In addition, the reclusive young child developed into an introverted teenager. Regarding his religious allegiance, the infamous murderer didn’t appear to follow any particular faith or set of rituals. In addition, he started to believe in himself and had sexist ideas. Elliot immersed himself in the fictitious video game “World of Warcraft” by the age of 13. Similarly, the protagonists and antagonists of fantasy video games he played online were his regular practices.
In high school, Elliot experienced bullying as well. In certain instances, he was shoved against lockers and students hurled food at him. For the infamous killer, sex eventually turned into an obsession and agony. In his notebook, he recorded: One of the things that ruined my entire life was learning about sex. I detest the word “sex” at its very core. I would constantly fantasize about it and always crave it. But it would elude me forever.
When Elliot first got to Santa Barbara, he began to have terrible destructive thoughts because he began to think that he could have to carry out a violent vengeance deed. In addition, he saw it as the last resort for handling all the injustices that society had forced upon him. He wrote on misogynistic blogs, “Start envisioning a place where women fear you,” out of his toxic rage. Throughout his entire existence, Elliot oscillated between denial and yearning. As a result, he felt hatred for others all the time.
The Parents of Elliot Rodger: Where Are They From?
On July 24, 1991, Peter and Li Chin Rodger welcomed American spree killer Elliott Rodger into the world. Similarly, his parents are from Lambeth in London, UK. In addition, Elliot’s parents are parents to Jazz Rodger and Georgia Rodger. Peter Rodger, his father, supposedly worked in the film industry. In addition, he directed television spots and contributed to the popular movie “Hunger Games.”
Li Chin, Elliott’s mother, on the other hand, worked as a nurse and was born in Malaysia. She also had a prior job on the set of “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” as a unit nurse. Elliot’s parents moved to California when he was five years old, taking with them his younger sister Georgia. Additionally, his father disclosed that his son’s early years were happy ones. According to Elliot’s father, the first four or five years of his life were the wonderful, happy times when his kid was a young child.
Regretfully, when the killer was seven years old, his parents, Peter and Chin, had divorced. Elliot’s father remarried Moroccan actress Soumaya Akaaboune after a year. His stepmother allegedly made an appearance in the popular Hollywood film “Green Zone.” Rodger started his lengthy therapeutic path when he was seven years old. Elliot’s anger escalated well in advance of the Santa Barbara incident, as his father had indicated. Peter stated:
Elliot had issues, but they weren’t severe enough for me to think they were unduly concerning. I didn’t realize at the time that he would ever pose a threat to others or to himself.
Rodger struggled to fit in and wanted to be a part of the cool group like other kids. In addition, the killer’s parents transferred him between schools in an attempt to locate an environment in which he would thrive. Elliot’s father also highlighted how little friends he had in elementary school.
Rodger was also quiet and reserved. He also suffered from OCD, dressing in the same clothes and setting his plate in the same spot at the dinner table every time. Although Elliot was never officially diagnosed, there were indications that he might have had Asperger’s syndrome.
