Emma’s dream of becoming a professional athlete was cut short owing to an accident, so she concentrated on academics and graduated with honors in 1999. She earned a Master’s degree in Intelligence and International Affairs from Liverpool Hope University. Soccer, on the other hand, has always been a focus for her, therefore she began coaching in 2001.
She coached teams such as Iona Gaels in the United States for roughly six years before joining Arsenal Ladies as an assistant coach and academy director in 2006.
