The well-known former American football running back Emmitt James Smith III, best known by his stage name Emmitt Smith, played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons.
Smith, who played for Escambia High School and the Florida Gators for three seasons, set multiple running records while playing for Escambia High School and rose to the position of second-leading rusher in American high school football history.
In addition to his collegiate achievements, the football player was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
Smith also had a brief stint with the Dallas Cowboys after being chosen by them in the first round of the 1990 NFL Draft.
The ex-footballer is the only running back to win the NFL rushing title, the Super Bowl championship, the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award, and the NFL Most Valuable Player award in the same season. He attained this accomplishment in 1993.

The news of Emmitt Smith’s death fake surfaced on the Internet when people reacted to the passing of former Dallas Cowboys star Rayfield Wright.
In the National Football League (NFL), Rayfield Wright played offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys for 13 seasons.
With comparable numbers to Emmitt Smith, Rayfield was a well-known former Dallas Cowboys player who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The former Dallas Cowboys player, who had been sent to the hospital for a migraine, allegedly passed away at age 76.
