Raheem Sterling Family
On December 8, 1994, the football player, now 28 years old, was born to his parents in Kingston, Jamaica.
Raheem’s mother, Nadine Clarke, had a distinctive running gait and was a former member of the Jamaican national athletics team.
At the age of 5, Phillip Slayter, his father, was shot and killed in Jamaica in 1996. After his father passed away, Sterling moved to Neasden, London, with his mother. Because of behavioral issues, Sterling attended Vernon House, a specialized school in Neasden, for three years.
He was acquired by Manchester City in a deal that could have cost £49 million in July 2015, the highest transfer fee ever paid for an English player at the time, after a protracted dispute over a new contract.
The English midfielder later went on to aid Manchester City in their 2017–18 and 2018–19 Premier League championships.
