Mattia and Fiorenza were the first two children that the Feltri-Bonfanti couple had together. They do have four proud children, though. The novelist’s first marriage produced two children.
Additionally, Bonfanti and Feltri have very distinct personalities. Enoe said that she had frequently thought about leaving her husband, but she had always remained at his side for a variety of reasons.
It’s interesting to note that, even after 55 years together, the devoted couple still goes out hand in hand on Sunday mornings to buy newspapers before stopping at the usual pub for coffee and an aperitif.
