A well-known actor, Eric Braeden, has announced that he has been diagnosed with cancer. He revealed the news during a Facebook Live session, explaining that he had been suffering from prostate issues while recovering from knee replacement surgery.
A subsequent doctor’s appointment revealed that he had high-grade cancer cells near his bladder. He is already undergoing immunotherapy for six weeks. Eric Braeden also stated that he is learning to listen to his body and not push himself too far. He continued, saying:
“So, if you’ve noticed me acting a little under the weather, that’s because I have, but I’ll lick this.” This jerk isn’t going to get me, but I’ll get it. It’ll be back in working order soon.”
Despite his health issues, Eric intends to continue performing in daily operas. He stated that he enjoyed performing and that he would continue to entertain people, saying:
“So, whenever you have a family member who is going through something like this, support them.” It might work out. Cancer treatment has progressed to the point where you can survive it.”
Eric Braeden is best known for his role as Victor Newman in the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless. Since 1966, he has been married to Dale Russell.
