The son of E.V.K.S. Elangovan and Erode East Congress MLA E. Thirumahan Everaa is no longer alive.
On January 4, Everaa suffered a heart arrest and passed away. He was 46.
Following his victory in the 2021 assembly elections, the Tamil Nadu Congress MLA was elected to the assembly from the Erode East constituency.
With a margin of victory of more over 8000 votes, he defeated Yuvaraja, the ADMK candidate, to claim victory.
The sudden death of Everaa had startled the Party, and a number of prominent figures paid tribute to her and sent their sympathies to her grieving family.
According to her family, Everaa began experiencing chest pain around 12:30. The MLA was having trouble breathing, according to S Vijayabaskar, the PA.
He was hurried by the family to a private hospital in Erode, but he passed away before getting there. Doctors on duty pronounced him dead.
E.V.K.S. Elangovan, a former leader of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee, was in Chennai when his son passed away. “He [Elangovan] is coming to Erode,” Vijayabaskar declared.
EVKS Elangovan Is Descended From A Famous Family
The late E. Thirumahan Everaa was the grandson of E.V.K.S. Sampath, great-grandson of Periyar E. V. Ramasamy’s brother Krishnasamy, and son of senior Congress leader E.V.K.S. Elangovan.
The family has a long history of involvement in politics. Elangovan served in the Lok Sabha and is still an INC member.
Sampath had a political background as a former Namakkal constituency member of parliament.
