Ken Jeong, a well-known American actor, has a daughter named Alexa. Her father Ken gained notoriety for his portrayal of Leslie Chow in the 2008 film series The Hangover. In addition, Ken is well recognized for his parts in the ABC sitcom Dr. Ken and the NBC series Community.

Regarding Alexa’s parents, her mother is a family doctor and her father was formerly an internal medicine doctor. Even though Alexa is the daughter of a famous actress, not many people know who she is.

Ken Jeong and Tran Jeong welcomed Alexa into the world on May 26, 2007, in California. Early in 2023, she will be 15 years old. Zooey Jeong is Alexa’s fraternal twin sister. Regarding her nationality, Alexa Jeong was born in the United States but has Asian ancestry.

Alexa’s paternal ancestors came from South Korea, and her mother has Vietnamese ancestry, so both of her parents are of Asian descent.

Her paternal grandparents were D.K. Jeong and Young Jeong, although information about her maternal grandparents is now unavailable. Professor D.K. Jeong, Alexa’s grandfather, taught at North Carolina A&T State University. In actuality, Wayne State University had awarded him a Ph.D. in economics.

As of 2023, Alexa and Zooey, who are twins, are both in high school. However, in 2015, actor Ken Jeong revealed that his daughters were in third grade during one of his television appearances. Their father hasn’t shared much information about their school or academics since then. It is safe to assume that Alexa is a high school student.

Although Ken, Alexa’s father, is well-known for his roles as an actor and comedian, not many of you may be aware that he also holds a medical license. He is a registered internal medicine doctor in California, although he hasn’t worked as a doctor since he began his acting career. He currently sits on the jury for The Masked Singer in America.

However, Alexa’s mother holds a California medical license as a family practitioner. She graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine with an M.D. and has been working as a doctor for more than 20 years.

It’s not entirely known, though, if she has continued to practice medicine on a full-time basis since the birth of her children. It’s because Tran’s children were only a year old when she received a cancer diagnosis, and it took her a few years to fully recover.

Following the birth of their twin daughters a year prior, Ken and Tran Jeong were excited to become parents for the first time. But when Tran was told she had a particularly aggressive kind of breast cancer, the marriage of the husband and wife was ruined. The family was devastated by the diagnosis, especially Ken.

Ken admitted that he was too afraid to consider the consequences of his wife leaving them too soon. He was also worried about how he would tell his kids if Tran didn’t make it. In the meantime, back in 2011, on Mother’s Day, Ken wrote a lengthy blog post in the Huffington Post to honor his wife.

Ken complimented his wife for being so resilient throughout her treatments on the blog. He noted:

“She fought back against cancer with everything she had for our girls so that they would grow up knowing a mother’s love, a mother’s instinct, and a mother’s touch.”

Tran Jeong was finally cancer-free in 2010, over two years after her diagnosis, following sixteen chemotherapy sessions, a mastectomy, and radiation. She now leads a healthy life.

Ken and Tran Jeong, Alexa’s parents, have been married for more than 20 years. After clicking at their initial meeting at Kaiser Permanente, they began dating in 2002. After around two years of dating, Ken and Tran said “I do” in a secret ceremony in September 2004.

Tran and Ken have been together for twenty years, and during the good times and bad, they have always been there for one another. We all know that Ken constantly supported his wife when she was fighting for her life, but very few of us may be aware of Tran’s role as an inspiration in Ken’s life and acting career.

Ken is still a licensed physician and used to be a practicing physician. But he didn’t decide to pursue acting until many years after he had already begun to practice medicine. In actuality, he began acting in his second year at Duke University. He even thought about majoring in acting but decided to concentrate on his pre-med studies instead.

While working as a doctor, Ken continued to create some artwork. In 2006, he made the decision to devote his time to acting full-time. His wife Tran played a crucial part in helping him achieve his dream.

His success as an actor was largely attributed to Tran, who always pushed him to pursue his goals and continued to do so even as she battled cancer. Ken has always remarked that his wife was the one who inspired him to take on his well-known part in the Hangover movie series.
