Many people think T’Challa’s sister Shuri will continue Chadwick’s Black Panther legacy in the sequel, which will include another character carrying on his heritage.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has experienced numerous delays as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak and afterward Letitia Wright’s injury. Director Ryan Coogler is back to helm the sequel.

Fans have been closely observing every teaser and marketing as the movie gets ready for its November 11 premiere in hopes of seeing some interesting easter eggs about what’s to come.

Wakanda Forever has fascinating new characters in addition to some of the main cast members from the first movie returning for the sequel. Here are some early reviews of the movie, a list of the new cast members, and details on the Chadwick Boseman homage.

Death of Chadwick Boseman

On August 28, 2020, Chadwick Boseman, unfortunately, passed away after a fight with colon cancer. The actor’s passing shocked the performing community, especially his fellow MCU actors with whom he collaborated on numerous projects.

When Boseman was absent from the cast of the Black Panther sequel, it made it more difficult for them to travel back to the set. The film’s leading actors discussed filming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with the memory of Chadwick on their minds in a clip made available by Marvel.

Letitia Wright discussed carrying on Boseman’s legacy going forward and stated, “I’m thrilled that we will honor Chad. He would simply want us to encourage everyone.”

Initial impressions of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The first reviews for Marvel’s next movie have started to come in, and if there is one sentiment that consistently recurs in all of the reviews, it is how emotionally charged the sequel is.

The movie is being promoted as less of a superhero extravaganza and as a more in-depth examination of loss and paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman’s legacy through it.

Variety’s Clayton Davis stated, “The hashtag #BlackPantherWakandaForever is a lovely ode to Chadwick Boseman. stunning visuals, with Angela Bassett taking control of each scene she is in. For many, Rihanna’s “Lift Me” will accomplish that. Another outstanding post-credits scene leaves you speechless. Not familiar with the Oscars.”

The Verge’s Charles Pulliam-Moore commented, “Though #WakandaForever has a larger scope and scale than #BlackPanther, it also has one of Marvel’s most personal and poignant stories. The focus is on mourning and the grieving process rather than superheroes and spectacle, therefore it is undoubtedly a comic book movie.”

The movie, according to Dorian Parks of Geeks of Color, was the greatest of phase 4 “Amazing! #WakandaForever! The grandiose and moving sequel that Ryan Coogler produced is a wonderful tribute to Chadwick Boseman’s legacy. Tenoch Huerta, Letitia Wright, and Angela Bassett all do their absolute best in their roles. Easily the best film from phase 4 is this one.”

The sequel, according to Fico Cangiano of CineXress, has a soulful quality “Wakanda Forever is a great idea! Coogler creates a deep, wonderful sequel that brilliantly explores current global problems and has a powerful emotional impact. A lovely testament to Boseman’s legacy. The mid-credits moment is incredibly touching, and Letitia and Tenoch are fantastic. #BlackPanther.”

Namor Tenoch Huerta

Its brand-new opponent is also one of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s most notable features. In the follow-up, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and his undersea nation are traveling to the MCU to battle Wakanda. Given that he is the King of Atlantis and the first mutant to appear in the MCU, Tenoch Huerta’s portrayal of Namor makes him an important figure.

Namor can communicate with and command marine life, breathe underwater, and swim easily. His special skills include the capacity to heal himself while submerged and, in some renditions, the capacity to telekinetically manipulate water.

Ironheart, Marvel’s young computer genius, is another new character that has been hinted at in the movie’s teasers. In the Black Panther sequel, Dominique Thorne will make her live-action acting debut as Ironheart.

Before Thorne’s television series, Ironheart, which will have six episodes and debut on Disney Plus in the fall of 2023, which was revealed in phase 5 of the MCU, the character is introduced in the movie.
