Robbie Coltrane, who portrayed Rubeus Hagrid in all of the Harry Potter films, gets a great deal of credit for Hagrid’s undeniable charisma.

Perhaps his most moving moment is when Rubeus Hagrid is first presented to Harry and the audience. It is also a crucial storyline turning point.
On the eve of Harry’s eleventh birthday, Hagrid bursts through the door and rouses everyone in the small, isolated house. He offers Harry a freshly baked cake. “I baked it myself, words and all,” he continues, apparently happy with his accomplishment.
