A woman named Lori Ann Slesinski was born in Auburn, Alabama. She was conceived by Casey Slesinski and Arlene. She had a beloved pet named Peanut and a brother named Paul. In 2004, she earned her degree from Auburn University.
She wanted to earn a master’s degree in psychology. She shared a job with Lindsay Braun, a friend she made during her junior year at Auburn University, at a neighboring mental health facility. She phoned at 6:30 a.m. and said, “I’m going to swing by the store, pick up the drink mixes, and then I’ll be heading to your place,” The phone then rang around 30 minutes later. It rang a few times. I replied that no one was present.”
Who is Derrill Ennis, exactly?
Derrill Ennis, a native of Auburn, Alabama, was apprehended and found guilty in 2018 of kidnapping and murdering Lori Ann Slesinski. When he was detained, he was 38 years old.
In the past, he knew Lori Ann, according to sources. Braun said that Lori could hear Derrill’s voice in the background of their phone conversation, which proved that he was with her on the day of her abduction. But since Derrill and Lori were friends, she wasn’t worried.

What happened after Lori Ann went missing?
When Lori Ann Slesinski repeatedly failed to answer her phone, her family and friends sensed something was wrong. Her house door was open, and her pet dog was by herself when one of her employees and her best friend went to check on her.
On June 13, 2006, Lori’s relatives filed a missing person report. The Alabama Police Department initially categorized Lori’s disappearance as a missing person investigation. But four days later, her car exploded in a cul-de-sac outside a building site. On the other side, Lori was not to be found.

The case was unsolved for more than ten years. Nevertheless, the case was reopened in 2016, and after an 18-month investigation, detectives found sufficient proof to establish Derrill Ennis’ involvement in the crime.
