Florence Pugh Revealed She Had Tracheomalacia On

Florence Pugh

The English actress Florence Pugh revealed that she had tracheomalacia, a rare respiratory medical condition while taking part in the current episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls.

The 26-year-old singer revealed on the show’s episode dated August 15 that her doctor advised the family to move from wet England to warm Spain.

I have a respiratory problem and a condition called tracheomalacia, and when I was younger they told me that a hotter climate would be better. I have, therefore, had a peculiar respiratory system since a young age.

According to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, tracheomalacia suggests

“Instead of being firm, the tracheal walls are floppy or flaccid because the cartilage in the windpipe, or trachea, either did not mature correctly or was destroyed. Breathing is challenging since the cartilage can’t keep the windpipe open, especially while exhaling (exhaling). The trachea may occasionally collapse due to pressure from nearby blood vessels.

It doesn’t bother me as much now that I’m an adult as it did when I was younger unless I’m sick.

With Bear Grylls, Florence Pugh went on a 48-hour adventure that started with her jumping out of a helicopter and proceeding through the volcanic jungles of Costa Rica.

Sue Perkins’ podcast, Sue Perkins: An Hour or So With…, airing in July 2020 featured a conversation he had with Sue Perkins on her experience with tracheomalacia during the coronavirus pandemic. She remarked,

“Since I was a newborn, I’ve had this respiratory issue, so my mother has always had to be on the watch for new infections, new illnesses that may potentially hurt me.”

She continued by saying that her mother had asked her to travel to Los Angeles so she wouldn’t contract the newest coronavirus. Pugh told the journalist that she no longer gets sick as frequently as she did when she was younger, therefore her sickness has improved over time.

After beating the first diagnosis of her illness, the Little Women actress admitted in a 2020 interview with Vogue that she still had a “very frightening cough.”

In the 2014 Carol Morley film The Falling, Florence Pugh made her acting debut alongside Maisie Williams, Maxine Peake, Greta Scacchi, Hannah Rose Caton, Anna Burnett, and Lauren McCrostie.

Towards the end of her acting career, she made appearances in a variety of movies and television shows, such as Studio City, Marcella, The Commuter, Malevolent, The Little Drummer Girl, Midsommar, Acting for a Cause, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and others.

Her upcoming movies include Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Don’t Worry Darling, A Good Person, The Wonder, Oppenheimer, Dune: Part Two, and The Maid, according to her IMDb profile.
