Roberto Gómez Bolaos, better known as Chespirito or “Little Shakespeare,” was a Mexican actor, director, producer, screenwriter, novelist, humorist, and director. He was born on February 21, 1929, in Mexico City. He was the second child of his parents.
Before he became an actor, Gómez was an amateur boxer. He graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, although he never worked in the field. Meza and Bolaos first became romantically involved in 1977.
They were the principal actors of El Chavo del Ocho on television at the time. However, Gomez sought Meza for five years previous to their relationship.
They suffered criticism when they initially started dating, but Meza stood up to defend herself. She was adamant that Bolaos had his problems and that she was not a wife thief.
