Christy Giles

A Hollywood film producer and party planner named Pearce was charged with murder last year. He is now charged with murder in the deaths of Instagram model Christy Giles and her architect friend, both of whom passed away as a consequence of a drug overdose, according to recent sources.

The killings of Christy Giles, 24, and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, were the subject of new murder charges brought last Thursday by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office against Pearce, 40.

In addition, 42-year-old actor Brandt Osborn has been accused of helping to kill the two women. He is currently free on bond, but a warrant for his arrest has been issued. The 47-year-old cameraman Michael Ansbach, who was first held in connection with the case, was not charged.

The murder charge against Christy Giles is an addition to Pearce’s other convictions

Shortly after the murder of Christy Giles, Pearce was first imprisoned on suspicion of manslaughter, and Osborn and Ansbach were charged with helping to commit the murder.

Investigators claim that the three suspects all joined the deceased at a warehouse party just before they passed away. The following evening, Christy Giles and Hilda Cabrales-Arzola stayed the night in Pearce’s apartment.

Prior to last week, Pearce had pleaded not guilty to two counts of forcible rape, one count of rape of an unconscious or sleeping person, and one offense of sex with a foreign object. As a result, Pearce is accused of assaulting seven additional women.

Since December 2021, Pearce has been detained on allegations of molesting four different women between 2010 and 2020. One of the alleged victims claimed that after receiving a drink of whiskey from Pearce, she passed out.

The victim was allegedly assaulted by Pearce while she was unconscious. He even allegedly threatened to destroy her family after she successfully repelled him, according to a probation officer. Another woman said that Pearce harassed her and threatened to harm her family while she was sleeping.

Allegations’ aftereffects

When the murder charges were announced, Christy Giles’ family immediately took to Instagram, stating,

Justice will be done, at last

According to his lawyer, Jacob Glucksman, Pearce is due to appear in court on July 11 and enter a not-guilty plea. Pearce “adamantly and forcefully disputes any link to these dreadful women’s deaths,” the author continued.

Pearce also requested a reduction in the $3.4 million bail. While everything was going on, Gluckman submitted a petition to lower the bond and requested that his client be released with a GPS ankle tracker.

The bond amount, according to Gluckman, should be appropriate for the crimes he is “currently” charged with, not for matters that are “pure supposition and media fodder.”

The defense lawyer refuted the assault allegations as well, pointing out that the incident went unreported for years and that the District Attorney’s office dismissed the most recent assault claim in 2020 for a lack of supporting documentation.
