Two books authored by a four-year-old kid have been published on World Book Day. Jayce Joyce, from Sutton Coldfield, began writing at the age of three, according to his mother.
A Beach With No Sea and Jayce’s Sweet Taste, both illustrated books by the author, were launched on Thursday.
His mother, Anim Joyce, stated that her son was “extremely happy” about the publication of his books and that he had already written other stories.
If 1,000 copies of each book are sold, he stands a possibility of earning the Guinness World Record as the youngest person to concurrently publish a book and a series.
Ms. Joyce described the response and outpouring of community support as “extraordinary” after the publication was first announced in January.
They also met Andrew Mitchell, MP for Sutton Coldfield, to celebrate the release.
“Writing came so naturally to him” “When we told Jayce that his representative had invited him to meet him, he was ecstatic,” she said.
“He said he enjoyed meeting him and was curious as to what inspired him to write his books; he even assured Jayce he would include the information in his newsletter.
She continued,
“Many bookstores have also invited him for interviews; everyone wants to support and promote him.”
Ms. Joyce stated that her son had written the books based on his personal excursions to the park, museum, and zoo.
She stated,
“He has written other stories, but they have not yet been published, and he has many more in his head.”
He does nothing but writes since it comes so naturally to him; he has not been encouraged to write; he is talented.
