Gangsta Boo, a pioneering artist and former member of the Memphis hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, passed unexpectedly at the age of 43.
Fox 13 reports that Lola Mitchell, a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, was found dead on January 1 around 4 p.m. Her cause of death wasn’t known at the time this story was published.
She was the second female member of the Memphis-based hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia (after K-9). A few months after the release of her second album, Both Worlds *69, she left the group and label due to disagreements over money and concerns over record marketing.
Later, gangster released mixtapes with some of her tracks and performers like La Chat and Yelawolf. She appears on Run the Jewels’ and Clipping’s respective albums. She’s been considered to be a pioneer of female rap music.
Lola Chantrelle Mitchell was born in Memphis, Tennessee’s Whitehaven neighborhood on August 7, 1979. Before her parent’s divorce, she was raised in a middle-class home and never “moved to the ghetto.” She began rapping when she was approximately 14 years old.

Gangsta Boo’s mental health rose to the top of the list of concerns as people globally looking for answers regarding the rapper’s passing.
Three 6 Mafia’s founder DJ Paul tried to confirm the rumors on Instagram by uploading a picture of Gangsta Boo hiding behind a DJ console. He left the post’s caption blank.
Mitchell joined Three 6 Mafia, a Memphis hip-hop group, as the second female member.
After leaving the group in the early 2000s, she worked with musicians including Lil Jon, E-40, Outkast, and Gucci Mane. She also produced several mixtapes and a solo studio album.
She released a video of her live rendition of “I’m Fresh” in December in association with Uproxx.
Three days previously, Mitchell posted a photo on Instagram with his friend MJG and wrote, “MJG over my crazy behavior #pressure.”

Gangsta Boo launched punches during the fight, but she didn’t use her hands. She used the opportunity to criticize Bizzy Bone’s mental state.
Others voiced their disgust with her comments on Twitter. People criticized her for making unwarranted and improper comments about his mental health in light of his tragic past.
