Gangsta Boo, also known as Lola Chantrelle Mitchell, was a well-known rapper who died at the age of 43 on January 1, 2023. According to reports, she died of a heroin overdose and cardiac arrest.

Mitchell’s brother told TMZ that she overdosed and was taken to the hospital the night before while performing at an event in Memphis. Some reports claim that her death was caused by the presence of drugs or a fentanyl-laced product.

On social media, several well-known music industry figures, including record producer and rapper DJ Paul, paid tribute to her. Paul shared a photo of Boo in a black suit working on DJ equipment.

Chantrelle, who was born on August 7, 1979, was drawn to rapping at a young age. She was a member of the hip-hop group Da Mafia 6ix, with whom she co-wrote the mixtape 6ix Commandments.
