When Garrett stepped in as the anchor/producer of T/E television in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, he started his career in news reporting.
Tenney spent nine months working for the station before beginning a 90-day internship at Comcast from April to June 2004. There, he became a sportscaster for NBC Sports Philadelphia (formerly Comcast SportsNet).
