How did Garrett Tenney start his Professional Career?

When Garrett Tenney stepped in as the anchor/producer of T/E television in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, he started his career in news reporting.

Tenney spent nine months working for the station before beginning a 90-day internship at Comcast from April to June 2004. There, he became a sportscaster for NBC Sports Philadelphia (formerly Comcast SportsNet).

He worked as an intern for various CBS affiliates, including KSL Sports from April to June 2009 and the KSNV-TV station in Las Vegas, Nevada, from July to August 2009.

Tenney joined BYU Broadcasting, the college’s radio station, in April 2008 while attending Brigham Young College, rising to the top of the production team.

Along with developing various initiatives for the channel, he worked in the background on the hardware for the equipment and the audio system.

In addition to his work in the background, Tenney continued to fill in as the journalist, anchor, and producer at KBYU ElevenNEWS, a newscast produced by BYU Broadcasting.

As part of his duties, Tenney co-facilitated a daily half-hour report as well as shot and delivered articles for the show.

From April through August 2010, he worked as an intern at FOX News’ New York Department. As a member of FOX News’ Ailes Junior Correspondents Program, he managed a full-time job.
